Video on our Infrastructural Achievements 

The Trust, in collaboration with Government and the Private Sector, has managed to make some tangible improvements to the communities we serve. Some of our biggest achievements over the past twelve years include:

  • Building 3 crèches and 44 classrooms for 6 primary and 2 high schools
  • Constructing 3 libraries and 4 admin blocks
  • Installing 400 computers in 9 schools
  • Spending significantly on computer courses, training and literacy programs
  • Constructing 6 agricultural projects that in two schools provide up to 8 tons of vegetables a year
  • Levelling 5 sports fields for various schools, and assisting in the provision of sports equipment
  • Providing electricity to a number of schools
  • Supplying water to 2 villages and several schools
  • Assisting in the feeding of approximately 2000 learners monthly
  • Completing the construction of a bakery which now produces up to 2000 loaves of bread daily
  • Providing the Utah community with a Development Centre
  • Constructing a 12-hour clinic
  • Constructing a specialized Maths and Science High School to accommodate over 400 learners

Through its programmes the Trust reaches many beneficiaries:

  • 4052 learners between the ages of 3 and 18
  • 144 educators
  • 2500 patients per month
  • 26 construction-based work and training opportunities
  • 26 food industry enterprise development work and training opportunities
  • 48 environmental management work and training opportunities
  • In partnership with the Sabi Sands Pfunanani Trust and the University of Johannesburg, the Trust aims to create an additional 360 work and training opportunities by 2016.
