In each project, the most relevant community structure is identified to drive the intervention. In school and crèche based projects, Principals and School Governing Bodies act as our primary implementing partners. In adult education and training interventions (including primary health care); we work closely with the relevant Community Development Forums and Traditional Authorities to ensure our interventions are properly aligned with local initiatives and needs.
None of our work would be possible without our government partners. The departments we work closely with include the National Department of Health; Mpumalanga Department of Health and Social Development; Mpumalanga Department of Education; National Department of Environmental Affairs; Bushbuckridge Local Municipality.
Whether it’s a small business supporting a specific project, or a larger company looking to give something back, we work with a range of businesses in South Africa and abroad. There are a variety of ways companies help us: through fundraising; corporate partnerships; or by donation. Our current corporate partners include Nedbank; Vodacom; The Thornybush Collection; Tiger Brands; Aspen Pharmaceuticals; Sasfin Bank; Telkom; Mix Telematics; Creative Space Media; Johannesburg Stock Exchange; Glencore International; Italtile; Federal Air; South African Airlink; Corobrick; Red Ant Design; INCE printers; and SICPA Inks.
To compliment the work we do in schools and crèches the Trust works closely with universities and schools of excellence to ensure our projects are guided by best practice. Our current partners include the University of Pretoria; the University of Witwatersrand; Warwick University; the Southern African Wildlife College and Penryn College.
